Spring Toolkit Delivery

April showers brough May flowers… and another toolkit delivery. If you didn’t know, My Good Brain puts together a quarterly toolkit for school-aged youth focused on exploring social-emotional health through art! Each quarter, the toolkit explores a new theme through mindfulness-based exercises, low-prep art activities, and lessons designed to guide children through self-reflection and social-emotional skills practice.

The spring toolkit explored the theme of growth and resilience through the topics of:

  • Strengthening Identity: Exploring who we are, what makes us special, and how embracing our authentic self helps us to stand up for what is important to us and encourage others to do the same.

  • Building Resilience: Exploring how we can strengthen our ability to “bounce back” when things are tough by trying our best and being proud of what we accomplish.

  • Developing a Growth Mindset: Exploring how to expand our belief that we can learn new things and get better at things we are working on through practice and reflection.

How did we explore these concepts? Through three lessons, three mindful reflection exercises, and six art-based activites. A jam-packed collection of inspiration - just what we needed to glow and grow!

More than 150 toolkits were delivered to students across the Bay Area, and it would not be possible without the generous support from our sponsors:

  • FLAX Art & Design

  • Modern Parenting Solutions

  • 4imprint

  • BLICK Art Materials

  • Star One Credit Union
