We’ve got Tool Kits galore! The boxes are filled, packed, and ready for drop-offs this coming week. We are putting the finishing touches on the Art Activity Booklets that go with each Tool Kit, which provides children with step-by-step instructions on each art activity included in the box. We also have some kid-friendly psychoeducational information on specific topics for mental health such as mindfulness.

As more and more schools begin to reopen in the next few weeks and months, we are finding it of even more importance to make sure we provide children the necessary tools to be able to process their thoughts and feelings about what they have experienced in the past year.

Our vision for this first Tool Kit is to make a warm and friendly introduction to children on the idea that self-care and mental health care can be fun and easy to do in daily life. And if you haven’t seen the Videos section of our website lately, you should check it out! We’ll be adding more along the way as we come up with new art and play activities that also teach about mental health and wellness.

While our Tool Kits are currently provided via donation to public elementary schools at this time, we are exploring the idea of having them available to more folks. Stay tuned for the latest on this as we keep moving forward.

A healthy and productive week to all!
