Our 2022 #GivingTuesday Campaign

“Always remember people who have helped you along the way, and don't forget to lift someone up”

— Roy T. Bennett in his book, “The Light in the Heart”.

This month, My Good Brain is celebrating our gratitude for the many people who have supported us in our journey as a non-profit! We’re also using this time to get our organization ready for bigger and better programs ahead where we can show our love and appreciation to students in our community.

What is My Good Brain doing this GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a day that encourages individuals to give back in any way they can. Many non-profit organizations participate in this day of giving in hopes of raising additional funds for special and impactful campaigns. My Good Brain has a big year ahead of us, and we’re holding a GivingTuesday campaign too to help us make some exciting things happen 🎨🧠

Children are vulnerable to mental health crises. Over 1 in 10 young people experience depression that impairs their ability to function at their highest capacity. This impacts their behavior and well-being at home, in school, and while building relationships with peers and members of the community.

At My Good Brain, our mission is to empower schools and educators with creative and engaging tools to teach children about their psychological health. It was founded on the goal of highlighting art-based activities and play as a vehicle to help children express difficult emotions, build healthy coping mechanisms, and engage in honest conversations about their mental well-being.

To do this, we’d love to have your help!

Here’s what we’re aiming for this GivingTuesday

🎯 Goal:
Raise $1000 from November 1 to November 28, 2022

🎨 Purpose:
We’ll use the funds to build and deliver 40 art tool kits to 40 students in the Bay Area

🧡 Why is this important to us:
We just wrapped up our Fall 2022 Tool Kit Program, where we raised money to deliver over 170 tool kits to Bay Area schools during the month of October.

This is more than 3x the number of tool kits built and delivered throughout the whole of 2021!

Our Tool Kit program has been receiving even more interest from local schools. To meet this demand, we would love to have your help!

This Fall, we built our tool kits with activities centered around compassion.

This year, we want to reiterate our commitment to bridging psychology with art with a higher volume and higher quality of resources and activities. That’s why “Bridging Psychology with Art” is the theme of our Giving Tuesday campaign this year.

It’s our second year of being a non-profit, and we’re honored to have already received so much support for our Tool Kit and art programs. We’re also extremely thankful to be greeted with such engaging participation every time we go out into the community for in-person events!

We would love to have your support this month so to help us keep this trajectory going and continue building a safe and creative space for children to be the most honest versions of themselves.
